Big Ben is Going To Change As Elizabeth Tower

The famous Clock Tower of Britain's Parliament building Big Ben's name is going to changed as "Elizabeth Tower". Though the building's name is Clock Tower but it is better known as "Big Ben" to everybody. The occasion of diamond jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II ascending to the throne has causing the naming. The Daily Mail reports that, in the campaign to change the name of the clock tower showing respect to Queen Elizabeth II 331 law maker has signed. David Cameron the Prime Minister is also among them.

ব্রিটেনের পার্লামেন্ট ভবনের বিখ্যাত ঘড়ি বিগ বেনের নাম পাল্টে এলিজাবেথ টাওয়ার করা হচ্ছে। ভবনটির নাম ক্লক টাওয়ার হলেও সবার কাছে এটি বিগ বেন হিসেবেই পরিচিত। রানী দ্বিতীয় এলিজাবেথের সিংহাসন আরোহণের হীরকজয়ন্তী উপলক্ষে এ নামকরণ করা হচ্ছে। ডেইলি মেইলের রিপোর্টে বলা হয়, রানী এলিজাবেথের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা প্রদর্শনের লক্ষ্যে নাম পাল্টানোর এ প্রচারণায় ৩৩১ জন আইন প্রণেতা স্বাক্ষর করেছেন। এর মধ্যে প্রধানমন্ত্রী ডেভিড ক্যামেরনও রয়েছেন।
